Patrick Cummiskey has been named national marketing director for Eco-SMART Technologies. In his new position, Cummiskey will be working with General Manager David Murphy on the introduction of the company’s EcoPCO line of pest control products. Prior to joining EcoSMART, Cummiskey was pest control marketing manager at Orkin Pest Control.

Spectrum, a division of United Industries Corporation, has named Mark Sargent director of sales and technical services for professional products. Sargent’s initial responsibilities include technical and sales support of the company’s SpectracidePRO line of pesticides for the professional market. Sargent comes to United Industries from Whitmire Micro-Gen Research Laboratories.

Douglas Miller is the new warehouse operations manager at J.F. Oakes Sales & Marketing. In his new position, Miller will be in charge of daily operations including shipping and receiving, freight control, inventory control, project planning/management and coordinating computer applications to streamline warehouse operations. Miller comes to J.F. Oakes from Environmental Solutions as production manager.

Van Waters & Rogers recently announced several staff changes. Jim Watson has been promoted to the newly created position of corporate accounts manager, while Lyn Hitt has been named South Central District manager of the company’s Professional Products Services business unit. Watson, who previously served as a sales representative in Orlando, has been with the company since 1988. A VW&R employee since 1985, Hitt has held numerous positions with the company.

Arthur M. Katz, founder and president of Knockout Pest Control, will chair the Long Island Cabinet for the UJA-Federation of New York, one of the largest philanthropic organizations on Long Island.

Enviro-Chem, Inc. has appointed Willis Goodwin general manager of its consumer division. Goodwin brings 30 years of sales and management experience with him, most recently at FMC Corporation.

Jack Spradley has been named the new chief information officer at Wright Express. He comes to Wright Express from ComData Business Fleet Services in Naples, Fla., where he served as vice president, information technology.

Michael Conlon has been named New York/New Jersey district manager for Moisture Control Services (MCS), a division of Munters Corporation. Conlon will be responsible for providing equipment and services to the New York and New Jersey market.
