FAIRFAX, Va. – The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA) is encouraging Facebook fans to show off their true feelings when it comes to pests.
This week, PPMA launched its “Show Us Your Scream” photo and video contest on its PestWorld Facebook page. The contest encourages consumers to shriek, scream and shout on photo or video and post the reaction to the page.
The contest winner will be awarded a free trip to a local amusement park, valued at $4,000. As well, people can browse through the entries and vote for their favorites for a chance to win a $500 Visa gift card.
PPMA Executive Director Missy Henrikson said the organization hopes to broaden its consumer audience with its first Facebook contest.
“We know that millions of people flock to Facebook every day and a contest and presence on this platform is a new way for us to reach an engaged consumer audience,” she said.
PPMA serves as the public outreach arm of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA). The consumer PestWorld Facebook page was launched earlier this month.
