The new Classic II Series Service Body from Reading Body Works has incorporated several new changes from its original Classic Service Body. Features of the Classic II include: a modern, slam-action tailgate with double panel construction; the Dual Pro Seal System; thicker, heavier gauge doors that are stronger and more secure; new rotary locks with enhanced design for ease of door closure; flush skirt line adds 4-inch additional compartment height in rear vertical compartment; and rear "A" compartment shelving. It also has two-sided A60 galvannealed steel and Lectro-Life immersion priming for complete rust protection. Other standard features include stainless steel bolt-on hinges, which keep the compartment doors operating smoothly in all weather conditions and double paneled compartment doors, which offer greater durability, the company says.

B&G EQUIPMENT COMPANY

The B&G Matrix from B&G Equipment Company is a 100-watt trap (four 25-watt bulbs) because B&G studies have shown that maximum light output is one of the most important factors of a good light trap. The protective grill (designed to protect the bulbs) is another factor that B&G tested extensively. The "light grill" that is included with each trap has been proven by B&G to have no measurable negative affects on the trapping rate of the Matrix, the company says. An optional "heavy grill" is available for additional protection with the least amount of interference of fly entry into the Matrix.

ROYAL TRUCK BODY

Royal Truck Body has unveiled a new Chevrolet Silverado with eight lockable storage compartments hidden in a factory-look body. The Silverado has a big bed and up to 29 cubic feet of safe, out-of-sight, weatherproof storage. This Silverado with Royal’s Summit truck body has increased storage and great styling, the company says. The new hybrid will be offered solely through selected Chev-rolet dealers nationwide as an upgrade of the Silverado 2500 and 2500HD. Other features include lockable, in-line automotive door-style handles and sealed-gas shocks to hold doors open.

J.F. OAKES SALES & MARKETING

J.F. Oakes Sales & Marketing recently announced a new attractant for yellow jackets named, simply, Yellow Jackets. This attractant is a food-based carbohydrate lure that is biodegradable and non-toxic. It works best in late summer, early fall (July-October) when yellow jackets are most prevalent. Yellow Jackets can be used in The Advantage Flying Insect Trap as well as other suitable competing traps. The attractant remains active one to two weeks in the trap, depending on use and placement.

FARNAM COMPANIES

Built around the design of Farnam Companies’ Musca-Stik Jr., the No Fly Zone trap is a complete system that attracts, captures and hides flies from view. No Fly Zone traps may be attached to dumpsters, near entrances, on walls or anywhere fly control is desired. Its lightweight plastic design mounts easily with adhesive strips (provided) or standard mounting screw hardware for a more permanent installation. Snap-in mounting pins allow for proper positioning of Musca-Stik so captured flies are hidden from view. Whitmire Micro-Gen’s Prescription Treatment® brand Cy-Kick CS recently received approval form the Environmental Protection Agency for use in food-handling establishments (pending in New York and California). Introduced in April 2000, Cy-Kick CS provides quick kill with extended residual activity to combat a variety of pests. It can be used indoors and outdoors for general surface application, spot treatments or crack and crevice applications.

ZOËCON PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS

Gentrol Aerosol and Gentrol IGR Concentrate from Zoëcon Professional Products have been approved for the control of drain flies and fruit flies. Both products contain the active ingredient (S)-Hydro-prene, an insect growth regulator (IGR), which disrupts the normal growth development of roaches and stored product pests, as well as drain and fruit flies. Gentrol Aerosol and Gentrol IGR Concentrate formulations provide excellent efficacy against drain flies and fruit flies when applied to fly-breeding areas, such as downspouts and catch basin areas (especially the scum buildup on the sides of drain pipes, the company says). Gentrol can also be applied as a general surface spray, spot or crack and crevice treatment in residential homes, manufacturing facilities, day care centers, office buildings, schools, nursing homes, warehouses, transportation vehicles and in food-handling establishments.

MAXFORCE

Maxforce Professional Insect Control recently announced the launch of Maxforce Ant Killer Bait Gel. The high-moisture formula includes sweet-carbohydrate based ingredients combined with the active ingredient fipronil. Designed for use with the Maxforce Bait Injector, Maxforce Ant Killer Bait Gel can be applied out of sight of customers, into cracks and crevices, both indoors and outdoors around structures.

Each ant gel reservoir contains 27 grams of bait and comes packaged similar to Maxforce Roach Killer Bait Gel with four reservoirs per box, five boxes per case.

Maxforce Ant Killer Bait Gel can also be applied in conjunction with Maxforce Ant Killer Bait Stations and Granular Insect Bait.
