CB Professional Products Division of Waterbury Companies Inc. recently introduced its D-Force HPX Residual Insecticide with deltamethrin. New D-Force HPX is the first professional deltamethrin formulation in a pressurized package, Waterbury says. In addition, D-Force HPX features eight-week residual control against a broad spectrum of insects including ants, termites and cockroaches (including pyrethroid-resistant strains of cockroaches).  Pest management professionals now have a powerful crack and crevice treatment product that is both highly effective and convenient, Waterbury says. This versatile tool expands the range of target insects that can be treated with the CB residual line, while offering pest management professionals more options to include in their rotation of treatment tools to guard against resistance. The 0.06 percent deltamethrin-based D-Force HPX formula is among the industry’s most effective pyrethroid formulations for long-term residual control of a broad spectrum of insects. Labeled for a wide range of use areas, D-Force HPX is ideal for use in sensitive areas including food-handling, processing and manufacturing establishments.

PROTEC USA
www.protecusa.net
Termatrac, from Protec USA, allows pest management professionals and home inspectors to locate and track termites, carpenter ants and other pests behind and within walls, even though there may be little or even no visible signs of infestation. Termatrac, an electronic instrument that detects the movement of most wood destroying insects through solid objects, has been in development for more than 10 years. This patented device uses microwave technology to determine termite, carpenter ant and other insect activity hidden below or behind the surface of timber, plasterboard, ceramic, brick or masonry surfaces with no interference to the building material or termite or ant activity. Termatrac emits signals that penetrate through and behind the material being searched. Much like radar, if movement interrupts these signals, the liquid crystal display will alert the inspector to this activity. This information can assist the PCO in tracking the extent of the infestation and pest entry points to determine the best treatment. Termatrac permits the location and tracking of the insects without the need for damaging any physical property or opening any galleries.

HOT FOOT
www.hotfoot.com
Hot Foot recently introduced several new and patented stripscreen doors. They are similar to traditional strip doors; however, instead of clear PVC strips, Hot Foot has substituted a heavy-duty insect mesh. This new product allows light and ventilation into the premises; excludes birds and insects from entering; allows people, fork and pallet trucks, etc., to enter without the need for an open/shut traditional screen door; and has a rollaway mechanism so the entire door can be rolled away from the opening when it is not required (e.g., in winter). Made cut-to-size, these doors will fit all openings and, if desired, can be supplied with sliding hardware that enable them to be completely slid out of the way to expose a fully open doorway.

DOSMATIC U.S.A.
www.dosmatic.com
For PCOs involved in the termite control market, Dosmatic U.S.A. introduces a new approach to proportionally injecting corrosive and aggressive chemicals into water systems without damaging the injector. This new approach uses the Super Corrosive Transfer (SCT) Kit that is available for 15-, 30- and 40-gallon-per minute models. The new SCT Kit improves the corrosion resistance of injectors by directing the chemical solution being proportioned straight into the outgoing water line thus bypassing any motor parts. This design also eliminates the need to drill and tap the bodies of units already purchased, making retrofitting a remote injection system easier than ever. The new SCT Kit has fewer parts than the previous remote injection kit, which reduces the labor to install the system.

VIRTUAL SOLUTIONS
The newest VISA/MasterCard wireless processing technology is now available for the pest control industry. With this product, PCOs can obtain authorizations electronically in only seven seconds — without a phone line or an electrical outlet — inside, outside or virtually anywhere you go, the company says. PCOs can eliminate easy-to-lose and illegible hand-written paper sales drafts, carry less cash and save money with “swiped” rates as low as 1.59 percent for credit cards and 0 percent for debit and ATM cards.

BECKER UNDERWOOD

Rejex-it Migrate (formerly AG 36) from Becker Underwood is a tool for the behavior modification of Canada geese (Branta Candensis). As a taste-aversion agent, Rejex-it Migrate changes the taste of grass to become unpalatable to geese. This causes the geese to leave the area completely to find better feeding and living conditions. Rejex-it Migrate is only distasteful as long as the grass remains treated. The effect is not systemic, so as the grass grows retreatment is needed to maintain control. This product contains 1.23 pounds of Methyl Anthranilate per gallon.

WOODSTREAM CORPORATION

Woodstream Corporation introduces the new Victor Multi Cat. This new wind-up multiple catch mousetrap is available in both a solid top version (model M419) and clear top (model M417) and is capable of catching multiple mice in a single setting. The Multi Cat is constructed of heavy-duty galvanized steel and has a longer-lasting wind-up mechanism to ensure many years of service. Multi Cat’s time- and labor-saving design features a hinged lid and independent front door panel, which allows for quicker, easier service, the company says. Multi Cat may be used in FDA and USDA facilities, it can be used indoors or out and a service record log is provided with each trap.

NOBLE PINE
www.sterifab.com
Sterifab is the disinfectant that also kills dust mites, fleas, ticks, bed bugs, roaches and other insects. Unlike disinfectants that need to be diluted with water, Sterifab requires no dilution, thus drying in 15 to 20 minutes. It can be sprayed on inanimate surfaces such as bedding, carpets, upholstered chairs, walls, pet areas, pillows and exercise areas, among others. Used throughout the United States and the world for more than three decades, Sterifab is the accepted method of disinfection for pest management professionals and has become the accepted protocol for many government installations, according to the company.
