The Decomesh Undereave Vent System is an effective, sturdy pest exclusion product that pest management professionals can install onto homes. Decomesh is constructed from thick 0172 gauge aluminum that cannot be eaten, gnawed or scratched through by raccoons, possums, bats, birds or rodents, Decomesh says. The round perforated holes are small enough to exclude lizards, roaches and other insects, according to the manufacturer. Decomesh comes in a variety of colors and sizes and it sits flush on undereaves. The product is also faster and easier to install than most vinyl or screen soffits, the manufacturer says.

InTice Granular Bait is the latest addition to Rockwell Labs’ popular insect bait range. A broad-spectrum product, InTice Granular Bait is labeled for roaches, crickets, mole crickets, silverfish and several species of ants. The weather-resistant coarse granule is ideal for outdoor perimeter and mound treatment use, while the finer granule is well suited for dusting into wall voids and other areas indoors.

Unlike other broad-spectrum granules, InTice Granular Bait contains a range of attractants for enhanced ant palatability, Rockwell Labs says. The coarse granule is available in 40-pound cartons and 5-pound shaker bottles, while the fine granule is available in 1-pound shaker bottles and puffer tubes. InTice Granular Bait contains 5 percent orthoboric acid. Registration was pending in New York and California at the time of press.

JT Eaton recently introduced its new Rat Fortress plastic, hex-key, tamper-resistant bait station. It has an ABS plastic clear lid for easy inspections and to warn operators of any dangerous “critters” that may have entered the stations (such as snakes or scorpions) before opening the lid. In addition, the station base provides exploring rodents with a see-through view that gives them a sense of escape upon entering. This helps avoid rodents’ fear of new objects, as well as increases bait acceptance, JT Eaton says. The new bait station features a rugged design and resists impact. The triangular shape allows placement of the bait station in corners and against walls, and two feeding areas hold up to 2 pounds of bait each with removable insert trays.

Whitmire Micro-Gen has announced the following product improvements to the PT® brand Termite Monitoring System product line.
 The PT 705 Eliminator has been modified and improved to the PT 706 termite monitoring station. This station has been designed with reinforced hinges and improved lock alignment guides that properly lock the station every time. And, with the addition of new finger tabs, pest management professionals are assured of easy opening of the PT 706 termite monitoring station, the company says. Inside the station, drainage ports have replaced the insect baiting trays. PT 701 termite monitoring station and PT 709 termite detection station have not changed and are still available.

Whitmire Micro-Gen will continue the customization option of the PT 706 and PT 701 termite monitoring stations by either injection molding and/or inkpad printing. This feature helps pest management professionals create their own customized pest management marketing program for their termite monitoring service.

The PT 782 replacement wood with eyelet is now available. This wood monitor provides easy access for non-disturbing visual inspection and removal, the company says. This new PT 782 wood monitor with eyelet will replace the PT 780 wood monitor once inventories are depleted. The PT 782 can be used in both the PT 701 and PT 706 termite monitoring stations.

Generation is the only rodenticide that contains difethialone, a highly toxic active ingredient developed by LiphaTech. Generation contains only half the normal rate of active ingredient, which makes it less detectable to rodents and increases its palatability. In addition to being the most toxic anticoagulant available for roof rats, it is also proven to be effective on house mice and Norway rats, LiphaTech reports.

Generation is available in a variety of formulations, including mini-blocks, bulk pellets and pellet place packets. Generation mini-blocks can be used with a variety of rat and mouse bait stations to protect non-target animals.
