Syngenta
www.syngentapmp.com/flea-tickTo help PMPs manage the threat of fleas and ticks, Syngenta has launched its new SecureChoice Flea and Tick Assurance Program. Similar to the SecureChoice Mosquito Assurance Program, this program provides a pest control assurance offering from Syngenta to PMPs for outdoor fleas and ticks. It also offers PMPs an additional revenue-generating opportunity with their customers.
The SecureChoice Flea and Tick Assurance Program can significantly reduce outdoor populations of fleas and ticks for up to 90 days, Syngenta says. Demand CS insecticide provides immediate and residual control of fleas and ticks, while Archer insect growth regulator interrupts their reproductive cycles to prevent them from becoming egg-laying adults, the company adds.
PMPs can participate in the program by purchasing Demand CS and Archer between Jan. 1 and Nov. 30, 2016 (“Program Period”), and by making applications by Dec. 31, 2016. If applications of Demand CS and Archer fail to provide adequate reduction of outdoor flea and tick populations during the treatment period, Syngenta will provide the appropriate quantity of Demand CS and Archer to cover the necessary retreatment(s).
“Beyond being a nuisance, these pests pose serious threats to public health — ticks, for example, are vectors of Lyme disease,” said Pat Willenbrock, head of marketing for PPM at Syngenta, North America. “By launching the SecureChoice Flea and Tick Assurance Program, we’re helping PMPs identify ways to grow their business through a new service offering, which increases their value to customers.”
Bayer
www.bayeres.caEnvironmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience, announced the introduction of Maxforce Impact Cockroach Gel Bait in Canada. Maxforce Impact contains a novel active ingredient designed to avoid resistance development and Bayer’s innovative matrix technology to combat bait aversion, the firm says.
“With Maxforce Impact, we are proud to deliver a game-changing solution that singularly addresses the biggest challenges our customers face — from environmental and safety profiles to efficacy and rapid action to bait aversion,” said Colin White, Bayer Environmental Science Canada marketing manager.
Maxforce Impact is uniquely effective in controlling both traditional and bait-averse strains of cockroaches, the company says. Maxforce Impact provides customers the option they need to protect their business from the challenges of aversion and resistance. An easy-to-apply gel formulation, Maxforce Impact is temperature resistant and features Bayer’s BlueBead technology. The BlueBead formulation is more palatable to roaches and carries a proprietary feeding stimulant that aids in the rapid consumption of the gel. Maxforce Impact also contains a novel active ingredient, clothianidin, which is visibly fast-acting within 24 hours, the company adds. Maxforce Impact is free of the “big eight” allergens, such as milk, eggs or nuts, making it ideal for sensitive areas such as food industry premises, public spaces and residences, Bayer says. Its white color reduces the risk of staining lighter surfaces and offers greater visibility when monitoring for bait consumption.

Paraclipse
www.paraclipse.comParaclipse, a manufacturer of commercial/industrial flytraps, has introduced a fully recyclable packaging system for its Insect Inn Ultra replacement lamps. The new replacement lamp packaging is made entirely of sturdy, moisture-resistant cardboard and provides excellent shipping protection while eliminating the non-recyclable foam inserts used previously, Paraclipse reports. “Paraclipse is committed to a program of continued improvement and this new carton represents a small step along that path,” said Brad Harse, Paraclipse CEO. “Eliminating foam packaging is worthwhile of course but, beyond that, we will continue to review every aspect of our products and services to ensure we are providing our best to our customers.”
Anstar Products
www.fieldworkhq.comAnstar Products announces the release of new Android and iOS Mobile Apps for Fieldwork, Pest Control Software.
Fieldwork Mobile for Android and iOS now offers pest management companies a true offline solution that allows technicians to work without an internet connection. The new apps allow technicians to enter data (notes, material and chemical use, barcode scanning, photographs and digital signatures) while in areas without internet or cell data and then auto-syncs to the online system when the device is reconnected to the internet.
In addition to the improved offline data management, the new mobile apps include workpool (anytime) scheduling from both list and map views, mobile printing from all Bluetooth-enabled printers for Android and AirPrint printers for iOS devices, and in-app credit card payments by both charging cards saved on file or scanning new credit cards.
The new Fieldwork Mobile app offers the following features: it tracks detailed chemical use; includes custom PDF contracts; offers WDO and proprietary forms integration; manages pest activity through scanning barcoded devices; tracks technician location through GPS technology; captures digital customer and technician signatures; and communicates all service-related information to the online system in real-time.

Rockwell Labs
www.rockwelllabs.comRockwell Labs is now shipping a redesign of its popular InTice Gelanimo Ant Bait station. The new design is even easier to use, increases the longevity of the rigid hydrogel bait, improves the versatility for placement purposes, and even further minimizes any potential for non-target contact with the bait, the company says. The unique, patent-pending, high-moisture, non-spill, rigid hydrogel formula in the station is unchanged. The only moist bait station on the market with no potential for spill, PMPs gain all the advantages of liquid bait with none of the mess, Rockwell Labs reports. Ants can feed over the entire surface without drowning in the bait and more ants can feed at one time. The new bait station design features an easy-to-remove sticker that covers the access hole for the ants, allowing for quick, toolless placement in the field. Low profile, at just under ½-inch high and 1 5/8-inch wide, the station can easily be placed under appliances and out of the way, or on narrow ledges such as window sills. The new design utilizes a foil top, stronger seal and a high-tech plastic construction to minimize moisture loss in storage and in the field. The new InTice Gelanimo Ant Bait station is available in a 30-pack box, and each station contains 0.25 ounces of bait.
