Thermal Acoustical Pest Control (TAP)

The Thermal Acoustical Pest Control (TAP) Insulation label will soon display the widely recognized Underwriters Laboratories (UL) mark. The recently earned UL certification distinction assures pest management professionals and their customers of the highest quality pest control insulation available and manufactured to very exact standards, TAP says.

In addition to the new UL certification, TAP also bears the Seal and Insulate with Energy Star insignia.

Central Life Sciences

Central Life Sciences announced the release of Aqua Zenivex E20, a water-dilutable adulticide for effective mosquito control. The new formulation expands the Zenivex adulticide lineup of reduced-risk mosquito products with an option that offers easier mixing and equipment cleanup, the manufacturer says. Aqua Zenivex E20 features an EPA reduced-risk classification, and it is approved for a wide range of application sites including over agricultural crops, pastures and rangeland with no crop set-backs.

This liquid concentrate provides a quick knockdown of adult mosquitoes, Central Life Sciences reports. Etofenprox, the active ingredient in all Zenivex formulations, presents low toxicity to birds and dried foliar residues are not harmful to honeybees. Aqua Zenivex E20 can be used either diluted or undiluted for ULV, fogging or aerial applications. This versatile formulation is approved for use in residential, commercial or industrial settings, as well as over agriculture crops, including those intended for human consumption, pasture, rangeland and other areas where mosquitoes are a problem. Aqua Zenivex E20 requires no synergist and the mixed/agitated solution stays without stratifying or settling. Aqua Zenivex E20 is available in 2.5-, 30- and 275-gallon packaging. From May 1 until Aug. 31, 2016, all Aqua Zenivex E20 orders will immediately receive a 10 percent discount from 2016 list price. These purchases also qualify towards the 2016 ALL Clear Rebate program.

Tick Box Technology

Tick Box Technology Corporation announced that its professional use product, the Select TCS Tick Control System, is now available at Univar ProCenters. Training and certification is available at the Univar Environmental Science locations or from the manufacturer.

The Select TCS Tick Control System is EPA approved and kills ticks during the critical larval and nymph stage. The Tick Box System is an easy to use, low maintenance, effective treatment to reduce tick populations, the manufacturer says. The product is registered in 25 states and Washington, D.C.

Syngenta Professional Pest Management

Arilon insecticide from Syngenta has received approval from the state of California for use on more than 20 pests in residential and commercial settings. This expanded label gives PMPs in California more flexibility for controlling a greater variety of pests with a non-pyrethroid, non-neonicotinoid chemistry, Syngenta says. Arilon, with the active ingredient indoxacarb, is a selective insecticide with minimal effects on non-target insects, Syngenta reports. Its unique mode of action combines non-repellency and a slight delay in insect mortality, so Arilon can be shared among target insects. This helps ensure comprehensive control within 24-48 hours, the manufacturer reports.

The following pests are now approved for control with Arilon in California: beetles, boxelder bugs, carpenter bees, centipedes, earwigs, fleas, flies, grasshoppers, kudzu bugs, millipedes, pantry pests (including granary weevil beetles and saw-toothed grain beetles), silverfish, springtails, stink bugs (including brown marmorated stink bugs) and wasps.

Coxreels

Coxreels’ Switch Box, available in open and closed variations, contains all of the necessary parts and components to make the motorized reel function in most service truck or trailer installations. The Switch Box mounts to the motor and contains a relay, circuit breaker and switch. The relay activates the motor and the circuit breaker protects the vehicle from overload. The open variation of the Switch Box is available in 12-V DC and the closed variation is available in 12-V DC and 24-V DC. Both Switch Box variations contain a push button momentary switch. The Switch Box is sold separately from Coxreels’ standard motorized reels.

Rockwell Labs Ltd

EcoVia CA contact aerosol and EcoVia G granular products, new FIFRA 25(b) exempt and research-based botanical insecticides, are now available from Rockwell Labs. EcoVia CA aerosol provides both rapid knockdown and residual kill/repellency and is effective against both crawling and flying insects. EcoVia CA is labeled for both indoor and outdoor use for crack, crevice, void, spot and space treatments and is compatible with professional aerosol injection delivery systems. EcoVia G granules contain a higher level of botanical active ingredients vs. other 25(b) granules, the manufacturer reports. EcoVia G is a broad-spectrum insecticide with no pyrethroid or neonicotinoid application restrictions, and can be used for exterior perimeter, yard and soil treatments. EcoVia CA is available in 16-ounce cans and EcoVia G is available in 10-pound re-sealable bags.

WDI FX

WDI FX announced the addition of Google Calendar Integration and Google Route Optimization features to create a version 14 update. This integration allows WDI FX to leverage the millions of dollars in development and infrastructure expense that Google has poured into each of these products. With WDI FX, users can now take advantage of this huge investment.

An immediate benefit is that pest management professionals will now be able to set appointments for any time period instead of SmartPlanner’s previous limit (between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.). PCOs and their technicians also can view appointments then drag and drop changes from any browser-equipped computing device, including Android devices. These changes can then be synched back to WDI FX. Since Google Calendar can be configured to work offline, technicians will be able to access their schedules while in remote areas that lack adequate data coverage.
