Liphatech
www.liphatech.comLiphatech recently introduced 4-pound Soft Bait Bags. In addition, 16-pound pails of soft bait containing 40-gram pouches of FirstStrike or Resolv now come with five SSTs – a rodenticide placement device for bait stations.
The flexible bags are convenient and easy to carry, the firm says. They open and reopen easily and the full label is printed directly on the bag. The 4-pound bags are available with 10-gram pouches of FirstStrike or 12-gram pouches of Resolv. Pail sizes are still available, as well.
Other Soft Bag features:
- Top is recloseable and makes it easy to reach in and access product.
- Reinforced, multi-ply handle maintains form and strength.
- Durable, water-resistant four-ply con- struction keeps bait dry.
- Specialized gussets keep bag upright.
- Patent-pending bag design.
The SST is also easy to use, Liphatech says. Simply place the bait in the SST device, close the lid and go. The rodents feed on the bait directly between the bars. The SST also eliminates the need to deal with bait rod hassles, especially in cold weather.
Liphatech soft bait is wax-free and can be used anywhere traditional wax blocks are used, often with better results, the firm says. With no wax, it has ideal palatability and does not melt in high temperatures. That means less waste and more effective performance, a savings of time and money for PMPs, Liphatech reports.
New Image Software
www.smartpestsoftware.comNew Image Software recently announced the release of SmartPest Paperless Office version 15. In March the firm announced that SmartPest 14 was able to synchronize with Google Calendar, Gmail and Google Maps, which allowed PMPs to leverage the millions of dollars in development and infrastructure investment that Google has poured into each of its products.
With version 15 of SmartPest, users can now take advantage of more than 20 improvements plus a significant increase in speed offered by the new FileMaker Licensing for Teams (FLT) database platform. This update will allow subscribers to see speed increases of more than 200 percent, which naturally results in greater efficiency both for office and field users, the firm says.
New Image Software is a developer of paperless business solutions and is located in Nashville, Ind. FileMaker is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Apple Computer and is the best-selling cross platform database in the world.
Trece
www.trece.comThe U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has updated the product label of CIDETRAK IMM to confirm its 180-day longevity. The label change is under the “Timing of Application” section on the label. The new label is available from www.trece.com or from authorized pest management distributors. CIDETRAK IMM is the only mating disruptant available in both single and larger dispenser sizes, the manufacturer says.
Innolytics
www.ovocontrol.comAfter more than five years of feedback from the pest control community, Innolytics has published new labeling for OvoControl P (EPA Reg. No. 80224-1). EPA recently approved the new label, which goes into effect immediately.
Innolytics says the new labeling is user-friendly and describes the bird control program in step-wise fashion. The OvoControl baiting protocol is different than a conventional bird baiting program and the new label helps ensure that users avoid common mistakes. The label is also available in Spanish.
OvoControl is a ready-to-use bait, dispensed on flat rooftops with an automatic wildlife feeder. This effective and humane technology is especially useful for managing pigeon flocks in larger areas without having to use avicides or labor-intensive trapping programs, Innolytics says.
Woodstream
www.woodstream.comWoodstream offers the time- and labor-saving Victor M144PCO Power Kill Rat Trap and M142PCO Power Kill Mouse Trap. Both of these new traps are quick to set and provide excellent performance similar to the firm’s traditional Victor snap traps, the company reports.
To set the Power Kill Traps, pest management professionals simply pull back the handle until it clicks. The traps feature a large expanded trigger for superior interaction, a bait cup for attractants and an innovative bait hook that allows securing of meats, nesting material or other attractants, Woodstream says. Power Kill traps are humane, dispatch the rodent quickly, reusable and easy to clean. Each trap has mounting holes for securing the trap. Power Kill is ideal for placement in rodent stations.
M144PCO Power Kill Rat is available 12 traps per case. M142PCO Power Kill Mouse is available 24 traps per case.
