SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. – Target Specialty Products and B&G Chemicals and Equipment Company’s joint venture became official Friday May 29, 2010. Under the business plan, B&G branch offices in Texas, as well as a branch office in Oklahoma City, Okla., will operate under the name B&G-Target. B&G’s Phoenix branch office will merge with Target’s Tempe branch as of June 28, 2010.
In conjunction with the joint venture announcement, Dean Osborn was named as the new business manager for Texas and Oklahoma.
“We are delighted to have Dean lead the market development for this region. He’s done a tremendous job for Target in the pest control and fumigation markets, and we know he will be instrumental in facilitating growth in this region,” stated Target’s Vice President and Regional Manager Rich Records.
Osborn has been with Target for 28 years and has served as the business manager for the company’s pest control and fumigation markets for more than 12 years.
“I look forward to working with the field representatives in Texas and Oklahoma to establish customer needs and facilitate the expansion in to new markets,” said Osborn.
Tom Wright, former president of B&G, is the regional manager for the B&G-Target offices, and Ron Sheffield, former vice president of B&G, is the operations manager.
“This is a win-win situation for B&G, Target and our customers,” said Records. “B&G customers will continue to enjoy the service they have come to expect from B&G for over 60 years, but they will now have access to a full line of professional pest products and equipment. In addition, Target’s business will expand in the vector control market.”
