Editor’s note: The following article was submitted by Bayer Environmental Science, which also contributed information from its Perimeter Pest Guide, in the March 2011 issue of PCT.
The goal of perimeter pest management is simple: stop pests outside before they enter your customer’s home or business. PMPs can do just that, while also saving time and money, by utilizing one product to eliminate as many pests as possible. With quick knockdown and long residual control of more than 50 perimeter pests, including ants, spiders, lady beetles and cockroaches, Temprid SC is ideal for perimeter pest control.
Based on studies involving more than 7,200 perimeter service accounts involving 19 pest management firms across the country, Temprid reduced call-back frequency on 90-day services by more than 53 percent compared to other non-repellents and pyrethroids. Reduced callbacks not only improve operational efficiencies (lower fuel and labor costs) and save money by not having to return to reapply product, but also help PMPs build trust and creditability with their clients. In addition, with its broad spectrum control and multiple uses, Temprid is specially designed to be used both outdoors and indoors, setting it apart as a flexible perimeter product. It can be used in and around buildings and structures, as well as on established landscape ornamentals around residential and commercial properties.
For more information about Temprid, visit your local Bayer authorized distributor, contact your local Bayer field sales representative or call Bayer customer service at 1-800-331-2867. Always read and follow label instructions. — Dr. Byron Reid, product development manager, Bayer Environmental Science
