The Face of Mosquito Control

Caleb Corona, Ph.D.

MGK is a company committed to innovation and making lives healthier. No one embodies that mission more than Corona. His role offers him the opportunity to help people: “I wanted to find a way to combine my passion with research and education and still have an impact on public health.”

Corona’s work is focused on the mosquito control market, new product development and field and lab research. What excites him most is discovery work in botanicals. Insecticide resistance is a growing issue in the pest management industry, and Corona is committed to developing new botanical products to overcome this persistent problem in mosquito treatments.

Corona received his Ph.D. in entomology and toxicology from Iowa State University. He accepted a job offer from MGK before graduation and jumped into work on products like Sumilarv® 0.5G, a larvicide that provides 150 days of residual control in many use sites, including catch basins.
