Welcome to January PCT! This month, we’re unveiling a new look…again. Although we launched a major redesign of PCT last January, we’ve decided to update a few more elements of the magazine. The most obvious new design element is the continued focus on www.pctonline.com. We’ve put major effort behind our site and will continue to do so in 2001.
One way we’re trying to let readers know that they should stop by our Web site for further information is by using the graphic to the left. Whenever you see this "For More Information" box, take note: That means there’s further information on www.pctonline.com about that story. In addition, we’ve placed "Web buttons" (see right) throughout the magazine that feature the site addresses of manufacturers, suppliers or others affiliated with the pest control industry. Be sure to check out these other informative sites as well.
In addition, we’ve added a "WebWatch" column to our news section. Check it out this month on page 12. There we’ll feature new Web sites that are of interest to PCOs. (To have your site listed, e-mail me at jdorsch@pctonline.com.)
We’d like you to think of PCT as a full-service resource. You rely on our magazine to show up in your mailbox monthly. But now there’s the opportunity to refer to the PCT Media Group 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our Internet Editor Amanda Paskiet is working hard to post daily features and news content for our site, as well as producing our weekly e-newsletter. Although our list of e-newsletter subscribers is up to more than 4,000, we still need many of your e-mail addresses. Send your address to her at apaskiet@pctonline.com to receive weekly, up-to-the minute news about the pest control industry.
There’s one other change this month: a new columnist. We’ve added a quarterly column by attorney Greg Crosslin called "Comments from Counsel." Many of you have heard Crosslin’s presentations at state and national association meetings and his talks about PCOs and litigation are always filled with valuable legal advice. Be sure to let either him or me know what you think of his first column, Lessons From PCOs’ WDI Litigation, on page 92.
