Another casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic was this year’s in-person PCT Top 100 Awards Ceremony and Executive Summit. However, since this high-profile initiative is always well received by readers who qualified for the PCT Top 100, in June, PCT and sponsors Veseris and Syngenta hosted a virtual event designed to honor those companies on the 20th annual list, which was featured in the May 2021 issue of PCT.
The event featured a variety of elements, including a custom website, congratulatory messages from the sponsors, a keynote presentation, a Top 100 event care kit and a robust social media campaign. PCT and our sponsors plan on returning to an in-person event in 2022, so stay tuned to the pages of PCT for forthcoming details. Attendees of this year’s virtual event enjoyed the following:
CUSTOM WEBSITE. The PCT Media Group created a custom website to house all of the assets of this year’s Top 100 Virtual Awards Ceremony. These included:
- A congratulatory video message from PCT Editor-In-Chief Jodi Dorsch.
- A four-minute welcome message from PCT Publisher Dan Moreland.
- Video tributes from Veseris CEO Trace McEuen and Syngenta’s Marshall Gaster, head of marketing, Professional Pest Management.
- Links to the May Top 100 Issue of PCT, interactive map and “fun facts” about the Top 100 awards program.
- An hour-long keynote address and PowerPoint presentation by PCT Publisher Dan Moreland.
- Corporate videos from Veseris and Syngenta.
- A 28-page “Special Report” titled, “How to Thrive in a Post-Pandemic Pest Control Marketplace” featuring links to news stories, market data and business resources.
- Photo slide shows of previous Top 100 award ceremonies in Cleveland (2010), Chicago (2012), San Antonio (2014), San Diego (2016) and Charleston (2018).
- A digital press kit featuring a customizable press release, Top 100 logo and contact information.
- A link to the 2021 Top 100 List.
TOP 100 PLAQUES. Custom-designed plaques featuring the May Top 100 cover graphic of PCT magazine, along with the Veseris and Syngenta logos, were distributed to all of the companies that pre- registered for the event.
TOP 100 CARE KIT. A “care kit” was delivered to all Top 100 company representatives who pre-registered for the event, arriving at their office prior to the virtual awards ceremony. The care kit included a Veseris-branded light ring; PestPartners 365 cap from Syngenta; and a PCT-branded power bank and umbrella.
EXCLUSIVE REPORT. PCT Publisher Dan Moreland created a 28-page special report titled “How To Thrive In A Post-Pandemic Pest Control Marketplace,” which featured market insights, news analysis and business resources to assist Top 100 companies in navigating a post-pandemic pest control marketplace. An “executive summary” of the report was presented live during the Top 100 Virtual Awards Ceremony, with a downloadable version of the report available to representatives of Top 100 companies who visited the site following the event.
PRESS KIT & SOCIAL MEDIA. The PCT Media Group created a customizable press kit for all Top 100 companies that included a press release, digital artwork and Frequently Asked Questions. Additionally, PCT developed a robust social media campaign, which included a substantial number of social media posts highlighting companies in three separate categories: (1) New to the List; (2) Fastest-Rising Firms; and (3) Top 10 Companies.
Editor’s note: Forms to qualify for the 2022 Top 100 List will be available in January 2022. Stay tuned to PCT and www.pctonline.com to submit your revenue information, as well as information about the 2022 in-person PCT Top 100 Awards Ceremony and Executive Summit.
