Waynes Pest Control Announces Promotions to Executive Leadership Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala, - Waynes Pest Control announced continued strengthening of its executive leadership team with the following promotions:

Trey Strickland is being promoted to vice president of service and acquisition management. Strickland joined Waynes as a regional market leader then served as the Waynes University and technical leader. He is a third-generation pest management professional with more than 10 years of industry experience. He is a graduate of the National Pest Management Association Executive Leadership Program and served on the NPMA Public Policy Committee. Currently he serves as vice president of the Alabama Pest Control Association and was recently appointed to the board of dDirectors for Quality Pro. He has a bachelor's and master's degree from Auburn University.

Jennifer Gray is being promoted to the role of vice president of customer care and integration. Gray began her career at Waynes as a customer experience team member in Birmingham before relocating to the Gulf Coast as service center leader. She then moved back to Birmingham where she created the Waynes call center and centralized many of the company’s admin functions. Her most recent role as vice president of best practices focused on the systematic and efficient integration of new companies into the Waynes family through M&A activities. In her new role she will continue to steer Waynes “One Voice” customer experience team while focusing on excellence in supporting Waynes customers and builder partners. She was recently honored with the inaugural Impact Award for Women in Pest Management by the NWPA.

Fred Strickland is being promoted to the role of vice president of technical services and operational excellence. Strickland comes from a family deeply rooted in the pest management has spent over 40+ years involved in the industry. He joined Watnes in December of 2020 as vice president of customer experience. Strickland worked for Terminix International, a business unit of The ServiceMaster Company and spent time in India developing, training, and launching the new company venture. He is an honored international, national, and local industry and motivational speaker. He is a member of the Entomological Society of America and is a board certified entomologist specializing in urban and industrial entomology. Strickland still classifies himself as “a lifelong student of entomology.” He played collegiate basketball for Louisiana Tech University and ultimately received his degree in education from the University of South Alabama [June 1983]. In October 2006 he completed the Vanderbilt University’s “Owens Graduate School” Executive Development Institute in Business Management. In 2000, Fred received the PCT/Syngenta Crown Leadership Award. Another of his Industry highlights was the opportunity to write a chapter of the Mallis Handbook of Pest Control, in 2011.
