Greenhouse Termite & Pest Control shared with PCT the following close-up roach video feeding directly from a bait tube during a treatment service.
Greenhouse Termite & Pest Control technician, Aaron, was servicing a property located in South Bradenton, Fla., which included web wiping, interior baiting, dusting, traps and a 3-foot up, 3-foot out perimeter spray.
While applying the perimeter spray along the foundation, Aaron noticed an American cockroach resting on the front steps. Interestingly, the roach was unusually calm and not skittish. Aaron decided to use a gel bait and the roach actually fed directly from the bait tube.
He observed that the cockroach did not react quickly or flee immediately. Typically, with this type of bait, it takes about 20 minutes for the roach to fully digest the bait and succumb.
He then finished the service and decided to check the place he spotted the roach and he noticed the roach was no longer there.
