BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – The 22nd edition of the Jornadas Chemotecnica event was held this year at the Universidad Católica in Puerto Madero, bringing together 786 attendees over two days. The event featured 20 exhibition booths and participation from several key vendors, highlighting both domestic and international interest in the sector.
Benjamin Gomez said the event took place at a pivotal moment for Argentina. After years of closed-border policies, the country is entering a new phase marked by openness to international investment, updated regulatory frameworks, and a renewed focus on competitiveness. For the pest management industry, this transformation presents major opportunities. With a population of 45 million and a strong educational foundation, Argentina is attracting attention from global brands seeking to expand into Latin America’s second-largest economy.
Leading the organization of the event was Guillermo Tarelli, business manager at Chemotecnica, whose team was instrumental in executing what has become the leading industry event in the country.
The conference agenda featured a full seminar program and an in-depth workshop, covering a range of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) topics. With the industry in active development, these discussions underscored both current challenges and future potential in the Argentine market.
