Beavers Named Rollins Managing Director of Technical Services

Mark Beavers is a global public health and pest management professional with more than 29 years of service as an active duty U.S. Navy entomologist.


ATLANTA, — Rollins Inc. recently named Mark Beavers as its new managing director of technical services effective Sept. 1. Beavers will provide technical support and safety guidance to all of Rollins Inc.’s pest control brands, including Orkin.
 
Beavers is a global public health and pest management professional with more than 29 years of service as an active duty U.S. Navy entomologist. He has significant U.S. and international experience as a scientist and vector control specialist, and has published more than 30 scientific, technical and non-technical articles and has delivered more than 50 oral presentations around the world. 
 
“Mark brings many years of valuable experience and knowledge to Rollins,” said Chris Gorecki, vice president, Rollins Operational Support. “We look forward to the contributions he will make toward the company’s continued growth.”
 
Over the course of his military career, Mark received 11 individual awards and 14 other decorations and unit awards.
 
Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from James Madison University; his master’s degree in entomology from the University of Florida; and his doctorate in entomology from the University of Kentucky. 
 
Mark and his wife, Carol, have two sons, Michael and James, and will relocate from Maryland to Atlanta.
