NATIONAL CITY, Calif. — Cal Coast Pest Management, National City, a city located in the South Bay region of the San Diego metropolitan area, hosted city officials and community members for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its office as a formal welcome to the city, owner Michael Keith said.

Keith said the ribbon-cutting ceremony gave the community a chance to learn more about the importance of pest control and customer education in the San Diego area.

“I wanted to also share with the community what we stand for, which is good health, because we know these types of pests bring emotional and physical damage to many people,” he said. “We wanted them to have an awareness that we treat these pests so people can have a more fulfilling life without having to think about these damages.”

Keith also added some new features and artwork in the office that have complemented the company’s culture of connecting with the community, he said.

“We are not selective with customers,” he said. “We cover all aspects of customers and want to connect with them.”

Keith said the presence of Mayor Morrison was significant for the impact his decisions have on the well-being of the community. It also gave his employees the opportunity to meet influential individuals and see first-hand the impact of their work every day.

“It gave some more clarity to community members on what we actually do each day and what is the intention behind what we’re doing and the type of people that would benefit from the services we provide,” he said.

The need for pest management continues to increase as Keith said he’s seen a major need for pest control in his service areas.

“The number of calls were getting from referrals and reviews is crazy,” he said. “We’re starting at a marine base in San Diego, which is a huge contract of treating seven acres once a month.”
