BAYONNE, N.J. – The Catchmaster brand has expanded with the launch of Final Feed mosquito bait. The dual action formula in Final Feed – part attractant and part killing agent, is composed of natural sugars to first attract mosquitoes to the bait, while the micro-encapsulated active ingredient (garlic oil, 0.4%) reduces their appetite and then kills them. Final Feed stops the breeding cycle, reduces mosquito populations by 90% within 2 to 3 weeks and controls for up to four weeks, according to the manufacturer.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this extremely innovative and ground-breaking formula. It stands alone in the market as the only mosquito bait in the industry, yet remains safe for families and pets and actually gets the job done. Eco-friendly and effective are two priorities for the Catchmaster brand. We are excited to add to our growing mosquito control line and look forward to Final Feed hitting the marketplace,” says Jonathan Frisch, VP of Sales & Marketing, AP&G Co., Inc.
Final Feed mosquito bait is classified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a 25B exempt minimum risk pesticide, meaning it poses little to no risk to human health or the environment and does not need to be registered under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), AP&G reports. Final Feed can be combined with Ovi-Catch, the mosquito trap from Catchmaster, as part of an integrated mosquito management program.
“Final Feed is a game-changing mosquito control product,” says Dr. Stan Cope, VP of Technical Products & Services, AP&G. “The efficacy and environmental safety are solidly backed by peer-reviewed, published science. The use of Final Feed also helps combat insecticide resistance, which is an increasing problem in mosquitoes. PMPs and their customers now have a reliable, effective and easy-to-use mosquito control product to add to the public health toolbox.”
Final Feed will be available at most pest management product distributors. For more information, contact your sales representative, e-mail the Catchmaster team at info@catchmasterpro.com or visit our website: www.catchmasterpro.com.
