Cetane Associates Welcomes O’Laughlin and Stein

NEW MILFORD, Conn. – Cetane Associates announced that Danny O’Laughlin and Nick Stein have joined its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory firm as directors, effective Sept. 3.

O’Laughlin brings more than a decade of experience advising middle market firms, while Stein’s experience includes executing mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, and valuation advisory. They will both provide services for pest control transactions.

Before joining Cetane, O’Laughlin was vice president of M&A at PestCo and director of Western Region M&A at Anticimex, where he completed more than 20 transactions between the two, and elevated PestCo to a PCT Top 20 firm. Previously, he managed valuation services at RSM, focusing on private equity-backed enterprises and complex capital structures. O’Laughlin holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Denver. He is a CPA/ABV, and CMA.

Prior to joining Cetane, Stein was an M&A associate at PestCo and an investment banking analyst at Q Advisors. Between those two roles, he closed more than 15 transactions and he also helped PestCo grow to a PCT Top 20 firm. Before working in M&A, Nick was a valuation services senior associate at RSM, specializing in private equity backed enterprises, complex capital structures, and purchase price allocations. Stein holds a bachelor's degree in finance and a master's with a specialization in finance from Florida State University.
