DURHAM, N.C. — Rambo, a chocolate lab specifically trained to sniff out bed bugs, is helping Clegg’s Pest Control solve bed bug problems throughout eastern North Carolina.
Rambo is one of two dogs being used by dog handler Tony Dobbs, who joined the Clegg’s team in 2012. Through extensive training with experienced trainers, Rambo can detect through scent if bed bugs are present. Once an infestation has been detected, Rambo will sit and point/stare at the location. And of course, his findings are always rewarded with a toy or treat.
