Jeffrey Colburn, a pest control industry veteran with 18 years experience, recently received a month-long, intensive, hands-on and classroom training at the Navy Entomology Center of Excellence. He was certified in seven different categories that included a written exam in each one. NECE is the premier testing facility for the military and it also tests products for several industry manufacturers. “There main goal is to keep deployed service members and the areas free of diseases carried by mosquitoes, etc.” Colburn said. “They make regular trips to Africa to test/treat for Malaria as well as other infectious diseases. It is quite the facility and I am proud to have received my training there.”
Colburn, who was a BASF All-Star Technician in 2006 and became A.C.E.-credentialed earlier this year, currently works for the U.S. Department of Defense Hanscom Air Force base in Massachusetts.
