LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — Cooper Pest Solutions recently unveiled its new headquarters building — the culmination of a project by CEO Phil Cooper and his team to create a multi-generational space to fulfill the company’s WOW mission.
The new Cooper headquarters is a 13,000-square-foot facility that was a former fitness center (Retro Fitness). The building was designed with input not only from Phil Cooper, but from the Cooper Pest Solutions staff. The result is a truly modern building that is environmentally sustainable and offers many multi-generational amenities.
One example of how the building appeals to multi-generations is the Hive, located in the main hub of the building, where everything intersects. Included in this area are games and activities such as ping pong, shuffleboard, and corn hole. The main function of The Hive is to make the staff more productive and more at ease, Cooper said..
In terms of environmental sustainability, a lot of planning went into how to reduce electricity usage, including changing the lighting in the main area from metal halide to LED bulbs. The large windows along Butterfly Lane were covered by mirrors in the gym. They have been removed, allowing for natural sunlight, thereby reducing energy costs.
