WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Dr. Bobby Corrigan was inducted into the Indiana Pest Management Association Hall of Fame during the 88th annual Purdue Pest Management Conference, on Wednesday.
Corrigan was presented with a plaque recognizing his induction by Dr. Gary Bennett, longtime coordinator of Purdue's urban and industrial pest management program. Prior to starting his consulting career, Corrigan worked alongside Bennett as a teacher and researcher at Purdue.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Corrigan is a graduate of Purdue, where he earned both a master’s and Ph.D. in rodent pest management. As an undergraduate, Corrigan attended the State University of New York at Farmingdale, where he was inspired by Dr. Austin Frishman, an important mentor throughout his career.
Upon graduation, Corrigan ran a pest control route for three years, enhancing his understanding of the challenges faced by service technicians in the field. He also is an accomplished author, contributing articles to industry trade magazines and writing Rodent Control: A Practical Guide for Pest Management Professionals, an essential reference source on the biology, behavior and control of rodents.
As owner of RMC Pest Management, Corrigan provides training and consulting services to the pest management and food industries. He continues to give back to the pest control industry in Indiana by presenting at Purdue and serving on the Purdue Pest Management Conference's planning committee.
