CHICAGO — Bob Dold was declared the winner in last night’s Illinois 10th Congressional District Republican primary. Dold, president of Rose Pest Solutions (see "Bob Dold Running for Congress"), got 39 percent in a five-way primary, with state Rep. Elizabeth Coulson of Glenview finishing second with 31 percent.

Dold will face off in the November election against Democrat Dan Seals, a narrow winner in last night’s 10th Congressional District Democratic primary.

The November election is expected to be hotly contested and draw national attention as Dold looks to succeed five-term U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk, who opted to run for U.S. Senate instead of seeking re-election.
