READING, Pa. — Rentokil/Ehrlich Pest Control announced the acquisition of Mountain Pest Control, Pocono Summit, Pa. The announcement was made by John Myers, Rentokil North American CEO.
Mountain Pest Control is a family-owned and -operated business that has been servicing Eastern Pennsylvania since 1980. Since its inception, owner George Fox has developed a full-service company providing residential, commercial, and industrial pest management service. The company services approximately 5,000 customers in northeastern Pennsylvania.
“The acquisition of Mountain is a strategic addition to our already strong Ehrlich brand footprint in northeastern Pennsylvania,” said John Myers. “Mountain is a strong and well-known pest control operator, and we are delighted to have their knowledgeable and experienced colleagues as part of our Ehrlich team. Our acquisition strategy is to identify quality companies that complement our work ethic and culture. Mountain is a perfect example of that strategy at its best.”
Mountain owner George Fox said, “I knew that if I ever sold my business, I would look to Rentokil/Ehrlich. Even though we were competitors, I knew they ran a good operation, treated their people well and were focused on customer satisfaction.”
Fox added that one of his biggest concerns was how his employees would be treated. “I felt that they would be treated fairly by Rentokil/Ehrlich. They are actually receiving better benefits than I could give them. Rentokil/Ehrlich even honored the years of service my people had so they didn’t lose their seniority. I was very impressed.”
