SARASOTA, Fla. — Joe Finney, CEO of Environmental Pest Service, has received the Slippery Rock University 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award, which recognizes alumni who have had significant professional personal accomplishments.
Finney graduated from Slippery Rock University, a public university in western Pennsylvania, in 1986 with bachelor’s degree in business. While at SRU he was active in the Air Force ROTC program, competitive in the martial art of judo, and a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity.
The Slippery Rock University Alumni Association Board of Directors and the President’s Office select award winners based on their achievements since graduating. Finney is one of four alumni honored this year. The winners were recognized at the Slippery Rock University Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Awards banquet, on Oct. 9.
Prior to joining EPS in 2013, Finney held management positions with Terminix, along with senior roles with TruGreen Lawn and Land Care, ServiceMaster and Michelin North America.
Under Finney’s leadership, Environmental Pest Service has become one of the fastest growing companies in the pest control industry.
“Joe’s leadership, communication skills and strategic planning expertise are critical to the success of the EPS team,” said George Pickhardt, chairman of Environmental Pest Service. “In addition to driving our growth and operational excellence, he has been our leader in building a vibrant corporate culture that in turn ties to our excellent, proactive customer service.”
