LARAMIE, Wyo. - Faye Golden, director of government affairs at Cook’s Pest Control, was presented with the American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators (AAPSE) Fellow Award at their 2024 National Conference in Laramie, Wyo., on July 25.
The AAPSE Fellow Award is the highest recognition bestowed by the association. Golden received the AAPSE Fellow Award to honor her many achievements and tireless service to AAPSE, the association said. She has been a long-standing member who has served AAPSE as president, committee chair and member of several committees and workgroups.
Through her involvement with AAPSE, Golden continues to advocate for advancing pesticide safety education and certification programs. This award recognizes her years of service and outstanding contributions to AAPSE, pesticide applicators, pesticide regulators, pesticide safety educators, and the pest control industry.
AAPSE is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to enhancing public health and the environment through involvement in education, outreach and research which directly benefits pest managers, policy makers and the public. Members work in land-grant university cooperative extension services, industry, and state, territory, tribal and federal agencies across the nation and internationally.
