PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – FMC Global Specialty Solutions recently invited distributors and trade media to the “City of Brotherly Love” to provide an overview of the “new FMC” and the impending launch of Scion Insecticide with UVX Technology.
The two-day event kicked off with a cocktail reception on the 25th floor of the FMC Tower, which dominates the Philadelphia skyline, followed by a half-day meeting featuring a Global Specialty Solutions update; specific details about the Scion Insecticide product launch on June 1; and an overview of the company’s new True Champions rewards program for end users.
Amy O’Shea, vice president and business director, FMC North America Agricultural Solutions, welcomed approximately 25 attendees to the event, saying FMC is committed to the structural pest control industry. “We have specific development plans for this business,” she said, as evidenced by the upcoming introduction of Scion Insecticide, as well as other new technology in the company’s product pipeline. “There’s a special place in my heart for this business because this is where I got my start. Please know you’ll always have a friend at FMC.”
Zack Zaki, business director, FMC Global Specialty Solutions, added that as a U.S.-based “pure agchem company” with deep roots in the pest management industry, this is “an exciting time” for the company.
The following day, Commercial Director Dan Carrothers shared his vision for FMC’s Professional Solutions business. Through the introduction of innovative technology and world-class customer support, “our goal is to become a strategic partner for you and your customer,” he said.
Also on the program was Marketing Manager Kevin Laycock, who walked attendees through the features and benefits of Scion Insecticide with UVX Technology. “This product offers immediate control of the toughest pests and continuous residual performance under the harshest conditions,” he said. “We’ve put Scion through the ringer” and it continued to perform “under the toughest conditions.”
FMC’s Evan Parenti also met media representatives to discuss the company’s True Champions rewards program. This industry initiative features three pillars – (1) product rewards, (2) solution assurances, and (3) industry commitment. “This will be an overarching program” that recognizes and rewards the “great work” being performed by PMPs throughout North America, he said.
