CHARLOTTE, N.C. — More than 100 pest management professionals and industry vendors attended the second annual Forshaw Executive Camp at the Omni Hotel in Charlotte, N.C., May 1-3.
Topics discussed at the camp focused on managing a successful Pest Management Business in today’s economy. Dr. Jerry Teplitz spoke about effectively managing employees with differing personality traits. Tom Reilly, sponsored by BASF, shared his course on “Value Added Selling.”
Other speakers included, Stuart Mitchell, sponsored by PestWest, discussed bedbug litigation and potential class action lawsuits; Dan Gordon with PCO Bookkeepers spoke on Tax Planning for the PCO, while Linda Midyett with PestSure reviewed insurance issues facing Pest Management companies today.
To wrap up this year’s camp, Kevin Libel, President of Innovation, led a discussion on PMPs in the Age of the Empowered Consumer. Kevin was sponsored by Syngenta Crop Science.
