CLEVELAND — In this week’s PCT Reader Poll, we asked respondents which pest segment had the largest percent growth year-over-year in 2022. More than half, 53 percent, said general pest services.
Caleb Fabry, Town & Country Pest Solutions, Rochester, N.Y., said rodent control stood out the most for his company.
Fabry attributes this to Town & Country “making a focus on rodents and turning it into an ongoing, reoccurring service,” he said. “We are going on our second year with this program and it's growing like crazy.”
Respondents voted 22 percent for mosquito service growth and 14 percent for termite growth, with wildlife coming in at 11 percent.
But for Maria Sorrentino, president of Pest Pros, Portage, Mich., she said their wildlife division quadrupled last year, and termite/ general pest control services increased by 50 percent.
“I attribute the growth to our staff,” she said. “They are true professionals and have provided excellent service offerings and technical abilities.”
Nate Nunnally, owner and CEO of Custom West Pest Control, Missoula, Mont., told PCT their wildlife division also doubled in growth in the last three years.
“We attribute this to local population growth in Montana as well as getting the word out that we do this work (marketing efforts),” he said.
