David Gilmer Recognized with Vince Craig Impact Award

TAMPA, Fla. - David Gilmer, vice president of client integration, Pest Daily, has received the 2024 Vince Craig Impact Award from the Arizona Pest Professional Organization.

Named in honor of Craig, a distinguished professional whose 30-year career exemplifies dedication, innovation and leadership, this prestigious award celebrates those who have shown exceptional commitment to advancing industry standards and practices.

“I’ve known David for many years now and I can’t think of anyone who’s more deserving of this award,” said Chris Gilles, an AzPPO board member and compliance manager for Rentokil Terminix. “He’s made so many significant contributions to the Arizona pest control community and I’m proud to call him a colleague as well as a friend.”

Gilmer, a former vice president and board member for AzPPO who has been active in the organization since 2020, said he is humbled to be this year’s award recipient.

“Vince is an outstanding person and a true advocate for the importance of education,” Gilmer said. “To be recognized as someone who is following in his footsteps is such an honor and receiving this award means so much to me.”

Gilmer began his pest control career more than 20 years ago as a termite technician with Cook’s Pest Control in Tennessee. In 2006, he relocated to Arizona and took a job with Terminix where he moved up the ranks from a service technician to a branch manager. After moving into similar roles with SOS Exterminating and Simply Green Pest Control, Gilmer was named COO of proof. pest control in 2018. In 2024, motivated by his passion for education, innovation and community building, he joined Pest Daily where he’s in charge of developing cutting-edge educational content and providing expert guidance to Pest Daily members.
