FAIRFAX, Va. - The National Pest Management Association recently announced Judy Black, vice president of technical services, Steritech, as the recipient of its Women of Excellence Award for 2012, presented by Orkin.
The Women of Excellence Award recognizes women who demonstrate outstanding leadership and have made notable contributions to the development and growth of the profession, their business and other women in the pest management industry, NPMA said.
Black joined Steritech in 1994 and has worked in a number of technical and management roles. She became technical director in 2005, and was promoted to vice president earlier this year. She is a board certified entomologist and a member of Pi Chi Omega, the national pest control fraternity.
"Orkin is proud to support the Women of Excellence award for the fourth consecutive year," said John Wilson, president, Orkin USA. "We are pleased to highlight the extraordinary accomplishments of women in the pest management industry."
