The Kritter Cap can be used in both the tops and bottoms of all outside corner posts of siding for almost any home; they adjust to post sizes anywhere from 2 ½ to 6 inches. Kritter Caps easily snap into place, so no tools are necessary, and they are self-securing. Made of light grey plastic, once installed the Kritter Cap is hidden from view.
Kritter Caps help prevent bees and wasps from entering posts and buildings nests in one’s home; it stops bats, squirrels, chipmunks, and other rodents from crawling up the corner posts and chewing their way inside the home (potentially chewing on wires in the attic and creating a fire hazard). They also stop cold weathers drafts from penetrating the corner of the house, which can drive up heating costs. Dogs will also be unable to destroy corner posts while chasing after rodents, because they won’t be able to chew at the corners with their teeth.
