ORLANDO, Fla. – Massey Services recently announced the promotion of four Massey employees: Aniket Sawat, James Farrell, Ang Li and Grace Byrd.
Grace Byrd was promoted from benefits manager to director of benefits. Byrd joined Massey in 1999 as a human resources assistant. In 2002, she was promoted to the role of benefits manager and steadily worked to enhance the offering of benefits to Massey team members across nine states.
Her expertise has played a pivotal role in the management of various benefit programs including health insurance, 401K, leave of absence, an internal team member reward program (“MAD”), inherited workers compensation, and wellness.
In her tenure at Massey, Byrd has been selected Corporate Team Member of the Year two times, most notably in 2021 after guiding the company through the COVID-19 pandemic by assisting in the development and implementation of new protocols as the company navigated uncharted territory.
“Grace’s extensive knowledge and insight has played a key role in the development of our benefits offering,” said Jean Nowry, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Massey. “As the number of team members has steadily increased, so has her resolve to ensure our employees have the best options available for their health and well-being. She has done a tremendous job and we congratulate her on this well-deserved promotion.”
Away from work, Byrd demonstrates her commitment to her community through active involvement in various outreach and ministry opportunities provided by her church.
Li has been promoted to director of business analysis for the company. He has been with Massey for ten years in a variety of accounting, reporting and business analysis roles.
In his new role, Li will oversee data science planning and organization and operational budget model control. Li also oversees the Massey Services internship program, which includes attending intern networking events along with hiring and managing interns.
Li was previously a business analysis manager. He earned his bachelor’s degree in logistics and supply chain management from East China University of Science and Technology and master’s degree from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.
While at Rollins, he was honored with the SunTrust Distinguished Leader of Merit Award. He is a certified financial analyst and is the relationship manager for the local CFA chapter at Rollins College.
Sawant has been promoted to director of product management. Sawant joined Massey in 2016 as an intern in Massey’s business analysis department before joining the company full time as a business analyst in 2017.
In his new role, Sawant will oversee the implementation of new technology solutions, product development and business-planning processes. He will also support the implementation of plans for new products and solutions.
Sawant is a mechanical engineer with a master’s degree from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.
Aniket also has a second master’s degree in management information technology.
Farrell has been promoted to geographic information systems (GIS) manager. He was previously a business analyst and mapping specialist.
Farrell has been with Massey for 22 years, first joining the company as a sales inspector, before taking on roles in operations, information technology (IT) and business analysis.
In his new role, Farrell will oversee geography design, acquisition revenue mapping, sales strategy mapping, market demographics mapping, and analysis.
Farrell has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Rollins College.
“These promotions reflect our ongoing commitment to growing leaders from within,” said Jeff Buhler, senior vice president, customer service. “Each of these promotions represent the continued commitment of these team members to our company and to our customers. I would like to congratulate Ang, Aniket, and James on these well-earned promotions.”
