DES MOINES, Iowa – For the sixth consecutive year, Miller Pest & Termite is bringing peace of mind to local families with their “Pest-Free Christmas” initiative. This holiday season, Miller Pest & Termite will provide three families with free pest control services to eliminate unwanted pests just in time for the holidays.

“Since launching this project six years ago, our goal has been to give back to the communities we serve,” said CEO Joel Miller. “The ‘Pest-Free Christmas’ campaign allows us to help families facing pest issues who may not have the financial means to address them on their own.”

Joel Miller, alongside his wife Jen Miller, chief strategic officer for Miller Pest & Termite, created the “Pest-Free Holidays” campaign in their local Des Moines, Iowa, Kansas City and Omaha, Neb., service areas to not only give back to those in need during the holidays, but make a positive impact on their communities.

“We typically help two or three families every year, which might not seem like a lot,” said Joel Miller, “but to those families, our donation makes a world of difference.”

Joel Miller explained that their applicant numbers grow every year, making the selection process even harder, but they hope to increase those applications significantly this year to reach further in their communities.

“We look forward to expanding this effort each year,” he said. “The response and gratitude from our communities have been incredible, and we hope this project continues to make an impact.”

Jen Miller hopes this project will empower the communities and inspire others to make a positive change in their community this holiday season and all year long.

“This initiative is deeply personal to us,” said Jen Miller. “Seeing the joy and relief we can bring to families facing hardship is what drives us to continue this program each year. It’s our way of saying thank you to the communities that support us.”
