NEW MILFORD, Conn. - Moyer & Son, Souderton, Pa., has acquired the assets of Safeway Pest Control, Linfield, Pa. The transaction was completed on Dec. 13, and announced by Cetane Associates, which served as the sole adviser to Safeway Pest Control.

Safeway Pest Control was founded in 1996 by John Wechter, and during the past three decades the company has grown from being a traditional residential pest control provider to servicing large commercial accounts. Wechter’s strategy increased revenue and created repeat demand in the populous southeast suburb of Philadelphia.

“From the beginning, we’ve focused our business on unsurpassed, excellent, and safe service for our residential and commercial customers,” Wechter said. “This transaction with Moyer ensures that our mission will continue to be met. My thanks to the outstanding professionals at Cetane Associates. They gave us terrific guidance and results.”

David Moyer, president of Moyer, said, “We look forward to welcoming Safeway Pest customers to the Moyer family and continuing to provide them with excellent service.”

Bob Williamson, pest and lawn director at Cetane Associates, said, “We are grateful for the confidence that Safeway Pest Control put in the Cetane team to handle this important transaction. John built a great company and it was a pleasure to work with him throughout the process.”

Cetane served as the sole advisor to Safeway Pest Control. This included advising Safeway on the sale, including an initial valuation opinion, marketing the business through a confidential process, assisting in negotiating the final deal terms, and coordinating the due diligence process. Team members Bob Williamson, Barrett Conway, Trey Brasseaux, and Dalton Brooks managed the transaction.
