LITHONIA, Ga. – Northwest Exterminating partnered with local elementary school, Shadow Rock, to complete various projects and host the school’s 30th Anniversary Celebration. The Oct. 25 celebration included alumni reunions and a building rededication to commemorate the school's accomplishments and commitment to its community, students, and faculty. The Good Deed Team also provided the food and drinks for the special day.

The Good Deed Team worked with Shadow Rock for over three months to complete various improvement projects to further enhance the school and have it ready for the Celebration’s scavenger hunt throughout campus. These projects included gardening, painting, pressure washing, providing new classroom signage, and repairing the outside gazebo, among others. The Northwest team has a longstanding relationship with the Shadow Rock leadership team.

“Being able to give back and provide an environment that the students and faculty of Shadow Rock are proud of meant so much to the entire GDT Team and Northwest Family,” said Kristen, co-leader of GDT. “It was amazing to see so many not only celebrate all they and the school have accomplished for the last 30 years but also to dream up what’s to come in the next 30. We were grateful to be a small support piece to this great team!”

Partnering with local schools is central to the GDT’s mission of serving in big and small ways to make a difference in the communities we live and work in. The Good Deed Team is eager to continue using its resources to give back to the local schools in the community through school improvement projects, donations, and celebrations in the future.
