MARIETTA, Ga. – Northwest Exterminating donated over 20 bikes and 10 large boxes of various toys to the local USA Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Northwest has partnered with Toys for Tots for many years, with teammates from across the Southeast donating unopened toys to local children. 2022 was the 75th anniversary of the Toys for Tots Program.
The mission of the USA Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute the gifts to less fortunate children in local communities. In 2021, Toys for Tots, together with Northwest Exterminating and other local businesses, non-profits, and partners, over 800,000 toys were donated, gifted, and loved by over 440,000 children in the local, metro-Atlanta area.
“The Toys for Tots Program is something the entire Northwest Family looks forward to every year,” said Randy Wilhite, Northwest’s Vice President of Business Development. “The local Marine Corps Reserve team is incredible. It’s an honor to be able to support their mission and our local communities during the holiday season.”
This year, the Atlanta Marine Toys for Tots opened an Amazon Wish List to allow for participation and donation from all over the state, and easier access to donate for many. The Amazon Wish List remains available all year to accept ongoing donations.
Northwest Exterminating is already looking forward to the 2023 Atlanta Toys for Tots campaign and the opportunity to serve more local children and communities. They are grateful to the men and women in the Marine Corps Reserve for this tradition and dedication to our local communities.
