WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Nozzle Nolen Pest Solutions in South Florida has re-earned Green Shield Certification for its low-risk, sustainable pest control service “Nozzle Nolen Certified Green Solutions.” The independent nonprofit IPM Institute of North America says it renewed the certification after a rigorous on-site evaluation of the service provider’s business practices, training program, pest management techniques and pesticide product use. Nozzle Nolen is the only pest management provider in South Florida that offers a Green Shield Certified service.
Green Shield Certification is based on the principles of integrated pest management (IPM). Certified practitioners use pesticides rarely and judiciously, and only use pesticide products meeting strict low-risk criteria, applied in a way that reduces potential for exposure. Practitioners monitor pest levels and communicate pest-conducive conditions to building managers and occupants to change the human behaviors that support pests.
Nozzle Nolen was founded in 1951 and has since expanded to five locations serving Florida’s gold and treasure coasts. Nozzle Nolen says it provides effective, least-toxic pest control with its “All-Natural Treatment” service, which was launched in 1994.
Green Shield Certified is operated by the IPM Institute of North America, Inc., an independent, non-profit organization recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its expertise and accomplishments in promoting IPM. Green Shield Certified is available for pest control companies and services, facilities and pest management programs. Learn more at http://www.greenshieldcertified.org
