NPMA Workforce Development Shares Hiring Updates

The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) provided updates on the Military Hiring Program, the success of their Skillbridge interns and shared their experience at JAG (Jobs for Americas Graduates) National Training Seminar.

FAIRFAX, Va. – The National Pest Management Associations Military Hiring Program is an initiative aimed at supporting military employment and expanding the pest control industry's talent pool for service technicians. Since the official debut of this program in February 2024, NPMA have attracted 26 service members inquiring about pest control job opportunities.

Currently, there are 32 participating NPMA member companies, six internship engagements and one employment offer.

NPMA has connected SkillBridge interns, a program that offers active duty military service members pest control service technician training at participating NPMA member companies while they are paid their military salary and benefits, with the following companies: Bug Busters, Ga., Burns Pest Elimination, Ariz., McCauley Services, Okla., Purcor, Ore., Rambo Pest Control, Wash. and Rove Pest Control, Mich.

NPMA was represented at this month’s JAG (Jobs for Americas Graduates) National Training Seminar in Las Vegas, connecting with JAG specialists from all over the U.S. that are instrumental in career guidance for high school students. Beckie Shudinis of Burns Pest Elimination and Noelle and Rian Goins of Get Goins Pest Control were there representing the pest control industry alongside NPMA staff.
