FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — The National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA) released the brochure and registration information for the Shooting in Sensitive Environments Courses being held October 7 -10 in Eutaw, Ala.

Partnering with White Buffalo Inc., NWCOA sponsors this premier training event for individuals and wildlife control companies who may use firearms in their work with nuisance wildlife.

The event provides training on Oct. 7 – 8 in Level 1 - Certified Urban Marksman; and on Oct. 8 – 10 in Level 2 – Certified Urban Sharpshooter coursework.

Participants will experience high level training in ballistics, shot choice and placement, and overall firearm use suitable for wildlife damage management.  Successful completion of an exam for each level will earn the participant certification as a NWCOA Certified Urban Marksman and a NWCOA®Certified Urban Sharpshooter, respectively.  Level 1 certification is a prerequisite to take the level 2 course.

This specialized training event is being held at the Green County Rod and Gun Club in Eutaw, AL, with lodging at the adjoining True Vine Foundation.  NWCOA is in the unique position to incorporate lodging and meals in the registration fee for this event – making it an affordable way to acquire very important training.

Designed to train new and experienced WCOs, the courses provide classroom instruction with hands-on shooting range experience.  “The key to the success of this program is the professional instructors who have real wildlife damage management experience,” says Jason Reger, NWCOA’s president. “Our instructors will provide intensive training in shooting accuracy, special safety considerations and effectiveness in shooting in non-traditional shooting locations.”
