ATLANTA - As part of Orkin’s Mosquitoes Don’t’ Deserve a Drop campaign, Orkin hosted two Red Cross blood drives in Los Angeles and Atlanta. This campaign aligns with Orkin's annual Mosquito Cities List, in which Los Angeles landed the #1 spot this year, with Atlanta at #5.
Between both blood drives, Orkin collected 59 units of life-saving blood, which will directly impact the lives of up to 177 patients as they battle cancer, receive a transfusion for a blood disorder or undergo surgery. Overall, we had 19 first-time donors to the Red Cross. Donors included Orkin employees and customers and the general public in Los Angeles and Atlanta.
- Los Angeles (Tuesday, June 7): 32 units donated; eight first-time donors
- Atlanta (Wednesday, June 22): 27 units donated; 11 first-time donors
In addition to blood donation, Orkin is donating $150,000 to the Red Cross this year..
