PORT COQUITLAM, B.C., Canada — Orkin Canada, a Rollins subsidiary, has acquired Atlas Pest and Wildlife Control. The acquisition was announced by The Aust Group, which represented Atlas Pest and Wildlife Control on the transaction.
Headquartered in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Atlas Pest and Wildlife Control is a full-service pest and nuisance wildlife control business, offering comprehensive services to predominately commercial and multi-family clientele throughout the greater Vancouver area. Established in 2015, Atlas was formed by Raymond Arthurs and Katelyn Curkic and grew into the largest privately-owned pest control operation in the Lower Mainland with over 50 trucks deployed on the road daily. Atlas has also been awarded the Surrey Consumer Choice Award for the last three consecutive years and is active members of National Pest Management Association (NPMA) and Canadian Pest Management Association (CPMA).
Raymond Arthurs, president and CEO of Atlas, said, “After meeting Stuart almost 15 years ago, he was the first person I thought of when I made the decision to sell. A lot goes into the process and I’m glad I didn’t do it alone. I’ve held countless meetings with clients to propose them our services, but selling your business is totally different. Having worked in pest control and now on the M&A side, The Aust Group team was able to fully understand our business because they lived it."
Stuart Aust, principal of The Aust Group said, “It was truly our pleasure representing Raymond, Katelyn, and the Atlas team on this transaction to Orkin Canada. Getting to know Raymond and Katelyn more and learning about their rapid growth over the last few years was incredible. Not only were we glad to represent Raymond and Katelyn, but we are thankful to have built friendships with them. We are excited for the Atlas team and look forward to seeing the growth of Orkin Canada through this acquisition for years to come.”
The transaction closed on Sept. 1. Terms were not disclosed.
