WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - At last month's Pi Chi Omega meeting at the Purdue Pest Management Conference, board member James Miller updated the group that newly launched Industry Grant Program is now accepting applications. CLICK HERE to download the application form. Combine the application form and supporting documents into one PDF file and email to office@pichiomega.org by the deadline stipulated on the application.
As previously reported by PCT, the Industry Grant Program was created by Pi Chi Omega to help those already involved in the pest control industry (e.g., operations, sales, service personnel) advance their careers. The grants are being offered to select qualified individuals who want to continue learning, further their career in pest management or promote entrepreneurial products that enhance the field of urban and industrial pest management.
The object is to encourage and assist outstanding professionals to enhance the pest management industry or their careers in pest management. Examples of activities that a grant would be considered appropriate for include - but are not limited to - conference attendance, college or technical level courses, other advanced skill acquisition, money for a new product creation, costs of publishing or disseminating relevant information to the industry.
