Plunkett's Acquires Pair of Pest Control Companies

The company acquired Bugeaters Pest Control, Lincoln, Neb., and L&S Termite and Pest Control, Columbus, Ohio.

FRIDLEY, Minn. — Plunkett’s Pest Control recently announced its acquisition of Lincoln, Neb.-based Bugeaters Pest Control and Columbus, Ohio-based L&S Termite and Pest Control. Both companies are family-owned and provide quality pest control and customer service.

Bugeaters Owner Nate Godwin started the company eight years ago after working with Orkin for several years.

“Upon the sale, Nate and his team joined Plunkett's, allowing them to gain more family time and have greater resources to grow this market,” said Scott Steckel, strategic development director at Plunkett’s Pest Control. “We’re glad to have them on board.”

About L&S, Steckel said, “Larry and Kathy Paterson, owners of L&S, have had a great run in the Ohio market space, growing their business to cover Columbus and Zanesville, Ohio. With the sale to Plunkett’s, they’re set to retire and enjoy some time in the Carolina's.”

Plunkett’s intends to add the three technicians from L&S to their team of more than 40 team members in the Columbus area.

“Both Plunkett’s and L&S Termite and Pest Control are full-service pest management service providers with the same exceptional attention to detail. This acquisition is a perfect fit for the two companies,” added Steckel.
