The Pest Management Regulatory Agency in Canada (PMRA) recently approved new labeling for OvoControl P (Reg #32670 PEST CONTROL PRODUCTS ACT). The label revision provides additional flexibility where mechanical feeders can be placed.
Previously, the label required application areas limited to where, “….the bait CAN ONLY be placed in secured locations with limited public access…” The new label is far more pigeon friendly and allows applicators to choose locations where pigeons normally gather.
This new flexibility will allow placement of the ground based mechanical feeder in areas where they were previously limited. The new feeder is ideal for dense urban areas where a rooftop feeder is not necessarily practical. The “Urban Feeder” has been used successfully in Europe for more than a decade under similar conditions.
Please see the revised labels in both English and French at, https://www.ovocontrol.com/labels-registrations. Prior to any use, review the entire label and follow all directions.
