ALPHARETTA, Ga. - The team at PureDefense Pest Solutions, Alpharetta, Ga., collected 5,020 cans last Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
Tim Madden, director of operations, PureDefense Pest Solutions, said every year the company has been upping its collections and last year the goal was 5,000 cans, which was exceeded. "Food insecurity is a major issue in America and has only gotten worse in recent years," said Madden.
In addition to this food drive, PureDefense gives back to the communities it serves by sponsoring a local family in need for Christmas by supplying food and gifts. The company also has done toy drives, and volunteers at RISE coffee, working with people with special needs.
"We are more than just a business. We are a part of this community," Madden added. "It is important to give back to the people that have helped us build a successful business."
Madden said the goal for the next holiday food drive is 6,000 cans.
