Professional Women in Pest Management of Alabama
AUBURN, Ala. – Professional Women in Pest Management of Alabama increased awareness of its chapter and raised funds at the Alabama Pest Control Association (APCA) Winter Conference in Auburn, Ala. The conference took place on Feb. 3. Scott Burke, Oldham Chemical Company, donated a B&G Sprayer with pink covers to be raffled off to support the chapter. Thanks to the support of APCA membership, the PWIPM of Alabama raised more than $1,000 to help its chapter grow.
“Participating in the Alabama Pest Control Association’s Winter Conference is a great way to raise awareness of our chapter and to showcase the strength of women in the industry,” said Faye Golden, director of governmental affairs, Cook’s Pest Control, and co-chair of the PWIPM of Alabama. “This was our third year having a booth at the conference and this year some of the men supporting women in the industry worked the booth.”
