LONDON--Rentokil Initial Wednesday reported a 9.2% rise in first quarter revenue, at current exchange rates, and said it expects 2017 performance in line with expectations.
Rentokil said its first quarter revenue rose 23% to $717.1 million, representing a 23% growth on an actual exchange rate.
Andy Ransom, Chief Executive, said, "We have made a good start to 2017. Pest control has performed well across the regions and we remain encouraged by the progress we are continuing to deliver in Hygiene. We are confident that the company will deliver a performance in line with expectations for 2017.
Rentokil has acquired 12 businesses in the year to date — ten in pest control, one in hygiene and one in property care — principally in “emerging” and “growth” markets.
